Neurodivergent attorney, gym bro, and certified women’s coach guiding high-achievers, neurodivergent folks, and social butterflies toward sustainable change.
Experience: +8 yrs
helping clients let go of perfectionism and build a kinder relationship with food and themselves.
I’m an attorney and law firm owner, former Division I athlete, cycle instructor, gym bro, and proud gay dad.
Nutrition has always been central to my life, both professionally and personally. My background as a competitive swimmer, marathon runner, and CrossFitter taught me how essential proper fueling is for performance and recovery. But alongside that, food also became a way I managed anxiety, stress, and my mental health. Living with diagnosed anxiety, ADHD, and depression, I understand what it’s like to use food as comfort, regulation, or relief, and to feel conflicted about it afterward.
Like many [well, all] of my clients, I carry a lot of responsibility. I run my own law firm, juggle multiple professional roles, parent as a single dad, maintain a social life, and travel to LGBTQIA+ spaces and events around the world. I don’t believe in perfect balance, especially for driven, neurodivergent people with full lives. But I do believe in identifying the nutrition fundamentals that make high demands feel more sustainable.
I know firsthand how easy it is to fall into perfectionism and all-or-nothing thinking, especially for high achievers used to excelling through discipline and control.
As a recovering perfectionist, I’ve learned that real progress comes from flexibility, self-trust, and letting go of rigid food rules. That’s where I help clients thrive: finding consistency, confidence, and more joy in the messy middle of real life.
I’ve navigated these challenges myself, and I continue to navigate them now. If you’re a high-achieving professional, a neurodivergent human, or part of the queer community looking for a more sustainable and compassionate approach to nutrition, I’m here to help you build something that actually works for your life.

my own nutrition journey
From ages 12 to 24, swimming was my life. I trained at least 20 hours a week and competed at the NCAA Division I Championships and National Championships. During that time, nutrition was mostly about survival: eating enough to get through training. What I ate mattered far less than making sure I didn’t completely run out of fuel.
So when my competitive swimming career ended, it wasn’t surprising that I struggled. Without the structure and energy demands of 20 hours of weekly training, I gained weight quickly. And instead of adjusting to a new season of life, I assumed something was “wrong” with me.
Rather than accepting that my athletic goals had changed, I tried to do everything at once: maintain an impossible training volume, diet constantly, restrict calories, avoid rest days, and push through exhaustion. I found myself stuck in a familiar cycle (temporary weight loss followed by burnout, regain, and frustration) without building habits that felt sustainable or supportive.
It wasn’t until later in life that I was formally diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and began to recognize many long-standing signs of autism. Looking back, so many of my food behaviors finally made sense. Executive dysfunction, sensory preferences, rigidity, perfectionism, emotional regulation, and stress all played a role in how I ate, trained, and related to my body. Food wasn’t just fuel. It was structure, comfort, stimulation, and sometimes the only reliable way to self-regulate.
Over the years, I’ve navigated many approaches to nutrition: body recomposition for fat loss and muscle gain, performance-focused fueling, intuitive and mindful eating, and health-forward habits that support both mental and physical well-being. Combined with my professional education, certifications, and ongoing learning, these lived experiences allow me to meet clients with nuance, empathy, and practical strategy, especially those whose brains don’t thrive under rigid rules.
Today, despite a demanding career as an attorney and law firm owner, being a single dad, and maintaining a full social life that includes frequent travel, I’ve found a more sustainable way forward. I no longer feel the need to do all the things. I prioritize what actually matters, train in ways that feel good, eat in ways that support my brain and energy, and maintain a level of fitness and body composition that I genuinely enjoy.
I love fitness. I also believe it’s ok to care about aesthetics. What I no longer believe is that health or progress requires obsession, deprivation, or self-punishment. There’s room for ambition and flexibility; and that’s the space where I help my clients thrive.
“I’ve not only learned about nutrition, but I’ve also developed a healthier relationship with food. I feel more empowered to make choices that support my goals, and I’m no longer overwhelmed by the complexities of nutrition.
Over the past 13 months, my journey with Zach’s nutrition coaching has truly transformed my life. He combines positivity with an unwavering honesty that I deeply admire. Whenever I faced setbacks or felt discouraged, Zach was there to provide not just encouragement, but also the candid feedback I needed to hear. This balance of support and straightforwardness was incredibly valuable; it pushed me to confront my challenges head-on while knowing I had someone genuinely invested in my success.
Through our check-ins, Zach taught me how to navigate my nutrition in a way that aligned with my athletic pursuits and personal goals. He provided me with practical strategies and tailored macronutrients that made it easier to fuel my body effectively. The education I gained about macronutrients and meal timing was eye-opening and has had lasting effects on my performance and overall well-being.
Looking back, I can confidently say that working with Zach has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and fitness journey. He has changed my life for the better, instilling in me the confidence and knowledge to succeed. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn from him, and I look forward to continuing to implement everything he has taught me as I move forward.”

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible support Zach has provided during our time together. His positive approach and unwavering enthusiasm have significantly impacted my life. Zach’s deep knowledge and expertise have not only guided me effectively but have also inspired me to better understand and listen to my body. One of the most transformative aspects of this journey has been developing a healthier relationship with alcohol.
He has truly been a lifesaver in my fitness journey. His commitment to his clients and his ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment is something I will always cherish. Thank you, Zach, for everything you’ve done. I have the utmost respect for your dedication and the positive influence you’ve had on my life.

more from my clients
“Zach redefines what it means to be a coach. Working with him means you’ll get much more than prescribed macro targets and the occasional pat on the back.
Zach takes the time to listen to his clients, learn about what’s going on in their lives and help them work towards what good health means for them individually. In working with Zach, I learned so much about hormone health, sustainable habits, stress management, and self-compassion. I carry many of those lessons forward with me today, in nutrition and in life.”
“I have been in the fitness space for 10 years & can calculate macros for anyone but I needed help between the ears. The amount of compassion & patience Zach showed me was truly incredible.
Through the birth of my first child, a career change, and a global pandemic, Zach was right there by my side each week presenting ways to overcome what was in front of me. I can safely say, it was the best decision I made when I chose Zach to be my coach.
I have now transitioned to tracking once a week or so just to make sure I am taking in enough food & really listening to my body. My relationship with myself is ever-evolving and I am accepting of where I am today and focusing on what I can control. All of this would not be possible without Zach. ”
“For decades I had a complicated relationship with food due to purity culture, diet culture, and other distorted beliefs. Zach has a compassionate approach where he centers his clients as the expert of their bodies and lives which is not only empowering but also a bit rebellious toward those old systems of belief.
As I wrap up my time with Zach, I am leaving with a greater sense of awareness of what my body needs, so much permission to feed myself in a sustainable way, and diminished fear and exhaustion of thinking so much about food...instead it’s been replaced by a renewed sense of actual living. ”
